Over a number of years, Hoyne has worked in close collaboration with a core team to create Australia’s first contemporary and natural burial cemetery.
Hoyne named the company and the site; Zinnia is the name of the remembrance flower and Acacia is the dominant plant species at the site. After creating a brand identity for both entities, we developed the visual and written language that was simultaneously respectful, sensitive, informative and visionary. For the foundation document we employed a poetic voice that drew attention to key facts and inspired the reader with rich information and beautiful imagery. We achieved this balance by first conducting substantial research to produce collateral that successfully explored challenging topics in a thought-provoking, compassionate manner. Acacia is a benchmark for a pioneering yet sensitive project.
