Sydney Square Dance
In 2020 the Hoyne team conceived the Sydney Square Dance idea as part of the Public Space Ideas competition by the Committee for Sydney.
In the midst of COVID we wanted to provide an opportunity for vibrant local dance and music communities to perform again in a safe, ‘socially dis-danced’ environment. And this year we saw that idea become a reality.
We’d like to thank the wonderful team at the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, Darling Harbour, The Rocks, The Committee for Sydney and Premium Media for making Square Dance into a reality. We are honoured to have played our part in creating a compelling initiative which brought people together and activated our city.
