Living outside the flags
The inspiration for the book, Bondi Republic came from Hoyne’s successful property campaign for Boheme exclusive apartments in Bondi. Self-published by Hoyne, Bondi Republic needed to capture the authentic heart of Bondi Beach, avoiding cheesy postcard sentimentality.
Photographed by Sydney’s Ali Nasseri, the book puts you right in the action, freeze-framing moments in time and icons of the suburb alike. Bondi Republic celebrates the suburb’s raw side, the sex, the sleaze and the streets.
